Mrs. Olmstead, who is a Language Arts Teacher at the middle school, was awarded the grant for her project titled "Literature Circles."  Mrs. Parsons, who teaches Music and Drama at the Middle school, will use her grant money to purchase drums for her classroom with the goal to get students excited about music. This will allow the students to expand their opportunities in music and help add to the curriculum of the music department. With the purchase of these additional instruments, the students will work on creating their own compositions and demonstrate application of rhythms and drum playing by performing a variety of ensemble pieces.
